About Robert O. Charles

Robert studied architecture at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. He completed his Bachelors of Architecture Degree in 1992 and received several awards including the distinguished Alpha Roe Chi Medal of Leadership, Service, and Merit. Prior to completing Bachelors, he was solicited by the University President to conceptualize a 60 million dollar Multi-use Arena for the primary campus. This arena project was the largest dream of the university.
After earning his degrees, Robert worked at multiple firms while pursuing a complimentary visual art & music career. He gained tremendous design leadership and business development experience. Key markers of Roberts career include leading his joint venture team to win the 60 million dollar arena he designed in school (later named after the state Senator Alfred Lawson, Jr.); working directly with Senator Charles Clary, FAIA; leading DAG architects as the Assistant Director of Design/Design Advocate; designing AIA award winning built and unbuilt projects, and making key contributions for DAG to be awarded AIA firm of the Year.
Robert has utilized design communication skills with BIM (building information modeling) technology his entire career and firmly believes in the famous quote, “Architecture is frozen music”. Since joining Levin/Brown in 2015, Robert has designed religious, civic, and residential facilities.
